As of May 7th, 1990, the SSIM has been using a computerized dispatch system, based essentially on the risk of the building at hand. This procedure has been re-evaluated and updated, in order to account for the possible dangers of a given territory. This re-organization enables the SSIM to respond to calls as efficiently as possible. All calls within the newer boroughs of the city of Montreal are categorized by the first unit on the scene. |
